Application and Criteria
Grant Criteria
Child must be diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (PDD, Autism, Aspergers syndrome).
Child must be under the age of 18 at the time of application and grant award.
Child must reside in The ISAAC Foundation service area (Spokane, Stevens, Lincoln, Whitman and Kootenai Counties).
Applicant may only receive a therapy grant once per year (from the quarter grant was previously awarded).
Therapy funds must be exhausted before applicant may reapply for future therapy grant.
Therapy funds may be released back to The ISAAC Foundations’ pool of funds at the discretion of the Grant Committee if funds remain unused for 12 consecutive months.

Grant Determination
Grant applications will be reviewed by the grant committee. Final determinations are based, in part, on the information submitted in the Applicant Questionnaire, the amount of coverage the applicant receives through insurance and other programs versus the amount of out-of-pocket monthly therapy expenses the applicant’s family is expected to pay, and subject to the availability of funds in the specific therapy fund the request is being made. The financial income of the family is not considered for grant determination.
Applications should be clearly postmarked on or before the application deadline. The ISAAC Foundation will accept applications by mail, email or fax. Faxes will ONLY be accepted between 9am and 6pm. Applications will not be accepted in person.
Applications need to be completed and returned by the applicant’s family – not case workers or therapists or medical providers.
Payment of Therapy Intervention Services
Once a grant has been awarded and accepted by applicant, payment of the grant will be issued monthly to the provider rendering the therapy service upon receipt of an itemized billing statement. Itemized billing statements received from the therapy provider prior to the 15th day of each month will be paid by the 20th day of each month. Billing statements received after the 15th day of each month will be paid by the 20th day of the next month. Payments will be issued to the therapy provider until the amount of the grant award has been exhausted. At that time, all remaining therapy expenses outstanding become the responsibility of the applicant’s parent or guardian. An itemization of grant disbursements may be requested by the grant recipient’s parent/guardian at any time.
