Thoughts on becoming a Taste of Hope Sponsor or Donor
We, at the ISAAC Foundation, appreciate the generosity and strong showing of support our community and YOU have shown for the families and children who are affected by autism. We know that in our current economy it may be a difficult decision to decide which worthy charity gets your support or even if you can manage to offer support at all right now. We are truly blessed to have your support!
The following is a list of ideas and thoughts that might spark your imagination or start your creative juices flowing about ways you may be able to help 2010 Taste of Hope!
- The item was called “8 Men at Work” - eight of the Dads at the school offered their time for 8 hours on a day of mutual choice to do any work the person wanted.
- This was purchased by a couple in Sandpoint and we all drove up there this past Saturday and worked from 9 am to 5 pm - did brush-clearing on their property, made a long path in their woods, put up lights in their hallway, and I think they also painted a room. Eight guys can get a lot done!! Plus some of us wives/girlfriends worked too.
- The families brought a potluck lunch, drinks and snacks. Kids came too (this was optional) and had a blast playing together. (Some women watched the kids and others did physical labor). The kids had so much fun they didn’t want to leave!
Any number of men/people could get together and offer an item that is similar.
